2026 / vision, sense & intention .
2025 was for me probably the most transformative year of my life. This point of relative maturity – attained through more consistent perspective, experience and consciousness – made me feel 2026 to be the right time to finally lay the foundation stone of the bridge I’ve been wanting to build for many years: One that could connect my enthusiasm and curiosity, to others’.
That foundation stone turned out to take the shape of a consulting activity: TLT.
The agency revolves around three pillars: Vision, Organisation & Image. I wanted these to be in sync to the three keywords I’ve always relied upon and revered throughout my life: Vision, Sense & Intention.
Born and raised into a “part-Asian” family, inclined towards confucio-buddhist dynamics, the two first ideas have always been close and are still making sense for me today. The Buddhist wheel of relative life, reflecting the Vision, the goal, hand in hand with the Confucian grand order of things, representing the Sense, the direction for the wheel to take. The other part of the family, being ardently Corsican, would take care of the powerful presence of Intention, to follow that direction; as independently as possible.
With these I decided to craft my own lens. A blend of the useful tools taken from my environment, and my own intrinsic drive to dig through life, like a crazed archeologist.
There’s no correct starting line; as long as you’re running on your track.
But I will start with Vision. And I will try to develop these paragraphs along the humanism pathway.
Vision is indeed a tool. Primarily, it’s connected to our sense of Sight: Being the one giving the most information to our brains, it is most helpful for us to imagine and eventually create our reality; amusingly, beyond what we can physically see.
Vision’s “finish line” is the – rarely reached - best version of ourselves ; of your right place in the world, where enthusiasm is everlasting. This tool is also applicable to very material levels like corporate governance or marketing. It is, many times, usually used as conjuring trick when, really, it’s the fundamental basis of all enterprises: human or economic.
My first touch-point with corporate vision was in 2008: Burberry, led by the Most Excellents Angela Ahrendts DBE & Christopher Bailey CBE. Reading the annual reports, press briefs and attending the first live broadcasted runways of this Plc. , gave me an extraordinary peek of fully integrated governance: Economics, organisation, inspiration and creation seemed to be beating from the same heart, at the same pace. It showed me that formidable results were achievable with consistent Vision. I’m still longing to witness such experience again, today. I was fortunate enough to land an internship for the British brand in Paris some years ago, and later to carry on my working curriculum through other companies with great vision like Ahilya Fort, in India or Officine Universelle Buly, in Paris.
Personally, I think Vision must make sense with ourselves, our environment and with the people helping us to reach it.
Nowadays - more than ever - each and every units of Society; from family, to community, to workplace, are yearning for sense. Material life has gone million folds faster, in a very short bracket of time; Humanity trying to stay relevant against uber-systems (social or mechanical), AI, traditions etc. With the effect for many of these units losing a vision, not knowing why it should make sense anymore.
In the introduction I was mentioning the influence of a Confucian mindset and how I kept some of its tools because I still find them relevant today. Setting aside the religious part. Confucianism, as many religions, was a set of arrows, principles, crafted to hit a Vision : In this case Order and Harmony, that one would feel within the hereditary Chinese sphere of influence.
One of the interesting arrows was the “ Ren ”, the sense of the human ; a kind of pragmatic organisation of human action and importance. For example: Before thinking of doing something sensible for your Community Unit, make sure you do a good job with the previous unit, usually Family. And you would go so, inward, till your the primordial unit, your “You”.
Very materialistically (and geekily) speaking, Sense is the sustainable and relevant set of circuits laid upon your motherboard, for it to work the most efficiently possible.
I’ve always considered myself very lucky. But my biggest stroke of luck was growing up in my Family.
Again, I could have started this commentary with this Sense part instead of Vision.
My parents, although quite set in their own traditions, beliefs and personas, gave the initial set - and quite a big part - of the pieces needed for me to develop what I’m actually proud of calling the sense in my life: Give, Care, Dare, remember that life will always be bigger than anything else , including you, better be good with what you are if you want to do good for others.
Corporately translated, it would give something like: Remember that the enterprise ticks right only if you really consider all the cogs composing it. “Grow” them with the best possible material, intelligence and attention.
Now that we’ve reached the most indivisible element – the Human – let’s talk about the Intention within this unit.
Intention is the trigger of all action. It’s itself triggered by your emotions, your instincts and the vision you want to reach. The same vision that needs this Intention to live… Back to the wheel of relativity.
This is why the Vision, we’re so eager to reach, should be as much correlated to our basic triggers of Intention. Better to concentrate on things that agree deeply with ourselves.
It is probably the hardest core to calibrate. But if we succeed doing it, the energy deployed till the finish line will be more powerful than any star.
With TLT, I articulated this pillar with the Image one, because if you’re wearing an image that doesn’t truly reflect your inner self, you’ll never be cabled to the energy needed to fuel your enterprise.
Intention, is also a kind of prayer to the universe, the more we project it, the more different units it resonates with, the more chances we get to see this intention materialise.
That’s all folks.
To one and all, I sincerely wish you to be the image you really want to be, for this image to make sense with the World, so that the World helps you accomplishing your visions.
Happy 2026!
PS: As one of my friends slid between two sips of tea: “This year is Horse year, let’s make it galloping.”
